Superfood Chocolate + Strawberry Goji Milks // recipes by Faring Well

Happy long weekend! I’m excited to chill with Scott doing some fun DIY projects the next two days. The beach sounds like a nice idea, but lets not be silly – its going to be crazy pants down there, so I can wait till next weekend ;). I didn’t really think through this whole Memorial Day weekend “recipe vibes” thing very well. I have some holiday worthy recipes coming your way next week, full of summer fun, but today I’m just bringing you something I love and is uber refreshing. Superfood milks! The ones you usually find for five or six bucks at the market, but for way less using ingredients sitting in your kitchen. WINNING. These are so tasty, and after whipping them up on my Nom show the other week I knew I had to share them with you here. They are full of energy-boosting ingredients such as maca and lucuma, and rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants (thank you goji berries). So cheers to some energizing sips this weekend folks! Have fun, laugh tons, and enjoy the links below too. Especially digging that Matthew P. album at the bottom, give it a spin.

Heading to the farmers market this weekend? Be sure to tag all of your social media posts with #FreshFoodMatters to help Katie fund more gardens! Read more about the initiative in my last post here.

If I could have three of my favorite food bloggers cook for me this weekend I would choose Laura’s creamy zucchini noodles, Betty’s edamame bowl, and David and Luise’s Italian cheesecake bowls. Amazing.

I’m dreaming of when Scott and I finally find a home of our own and can set up neat workstations like these!

I made and shot my favorite tamales back in Colorado and they just went up on Camp Brand Good’s website if you want to take a peak! Right in time for summer trips.

After running long distance 6 days a week for 15 years, I’m finally adding in some kick-you-in-the-butt strength training/weight lifting classes. Going to The 12 here in Costa Mesa is the best decision I ever made.

Currently cannot stop buying this, this, and this. I love my homemade goodies, but every girl needs a break!

First, go watch this list of gifs about people who are way more awkward than you and die laughing. Then go to my husband’s Pinterest board called “things that makes me laugh” and get ready for an ab workout.

Now for some tunes! On the way to the farmers market this morning I’ll most likely be jamming to some Matthew P. He is super swell.

Thanks for linking to my zoodles, girl! That goji milk would be so bangin’ on some sort of chocolaty granola concoction. Or just perfect on its own too :) Also, I wanna camp in my backyard and eat those tamales tonight. They sound so good!. Enjoy the loooong weekend! xo

Hey Laura! I seriously cannot wait to make your recipe tonight, just finally picking up the spring onions today! You’re a vegetable magician. And um, yes, why I have not thought to put these milks on granola – brilliant girl, do it. And backyard camping + tamales sounds like a deal to me! Thanks for the tamale love and hope you had a stellar weekend too! xo

Aw thank you Sarah! You’re so sweet. I hope you had a wonderful long weekend too!

You know what Jessie? In my opinion there are no rules of when to post what, so don’t stress the whole holiday thing! Although, if we were to fuss about it, these COULD very well be considered holiday-y. After all, holidays can be tiring and these sweet milks are bound kick up low energy levels. Not to mention that chocolate is forever considered a happy maker, so that first option might help ensure good moods and thus an actually joyful holiday ;)
Anyway, enough blabber. Thanks for this post and I will make sure to check out those links.
    Happy weekend!

Than you Pia, I can agree with you on this too! They definitely make you feel super happy and energized. I hope you had a fun weekend and enjoyed the links! Hugs!

Oh me oh my! Gif 16 hits too close to home (doors man, just don’t get em :p ). We’re in the middle of a down poor right now, so a huge cup of your chocolate milk warmed up a lil’, sounds like a dream come true. Also, camping in style! So winning!

HAHA yes! I majorly align with that one too ;). And sheesh I never even thought to warm it up, that sounds magical – thanks for helping ME learn how to use my own recipe better ;). Enjoy that spring rain Sophie! Thanks for your sweet comment! <3

Totally in the process of working on new office plans :) The chocolate milk sounds super good, and looks cute in that confetti mug too :) Hope you have an awesome Memorial Day weekend!!

I have never even heard of superfood milk!! Am I totally in the dark?! Sounds/looks amazing, Jessie. Also, those workstations are adorable. I have two friends who just bought their first home and they set up their office like that and it’s adorable! Now they get to just look at each other while they work. Which sounds great in theory, but I’m pretty sure I’d get like nothing done like that. Hoping you had the best Memorial Day Weekend, sweet friend <3 <3 <3

Haha YES! I’m wondering too how much work time would compare to distracted time if we were to be too close ;) but I just have to dream, those stations are so cute! And yes about superfood milks! You would love them Brooke, I hope you get to try some too. If you don’t make these, look for Rebbl brand at Whole Foods, their chocolate maca is magical. Hope you had a gorgeous weekend friend! xo
